Programs
MBA (Full-Time) Focus: MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS (60 seats)
The full-time MBA programme focuses on "Management Systems", designed to be completed in two years. The programme provides a wide range of electives to the students. It equips the future managers with a combination of various technical skills and values focused decision making ability. All this is imparted in a course curriculum offered in a flexible mode.
 
Unique Features of the Programme

The programme is developed after extensive research and interaction with the various stakeholders. It provides the student various routes to the industry, matching their requirements with his/her skills and predispositions.

Along with specialization in core "Management Systems", a student can also specialise in major streams, like Information Technology Management, Finance, Marketing, Strategic Management, Organisation Management, Manufacturing Management and Public Sector Management. The programme offers a blend of analytical and creative problem solving skills. The programme places heavy emphasis on practical experience for which extensive interaction with the industry is built into the curriculum.

Besides the Summer Internship and major Final Semester Project, students are expected to engage in industry oriented projects as a part of their regular course work. In our endeavour to develop all-around managerial skills, we have included compulsory audit courses as a part of the programme which impart the essential skills for management cadre in modern times.

 
Pedagogy
The Department places heavy emphasis on experiential and process-oriented learning, and the pedagogical tools include extensive use of case studies, simulation exercises, industry oriented project works and the like to facilitate the same. Besides honing up the skills of individual decision making, enough emphasis is laid on developing team skills and value focussed decision making. The compulsory audit courses are designed for this purpose. Our teaching is backed by extensive research and consultancies that have gained wide peer level recognition.
 
MBA (Full-Time) Focus: TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT (15 seats)
A Telecommunication Emphasis in the program of DMS under the aegis of Bharti School of Telecom Technology & Management (BSTTM) is designed to give persons of many relevant educational backgrounds the skills needed to become effective managers in a wide variety of organization especially in the Telecom sector. The programme is comprehensive in nature, involving all the business functions- accounting, finance, operations, HRM management, marketing, and business computing science. The emphasis of Telecommunications Systems Management prepares students for technical management positions in the telecommunications field. This emphasis provides a strong foundation in Telecom Systems Management that would take some Telecom technology inputs from the BSTTM's M.Tech. programme in Telecom Technology & Management. Typical employers would be corporations, which provide telecom networks, telecom service providers, and telecom equipment vendors.

MBA (Part-Time) Focus: TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT
For the Indian industry to gain global competitiveness, effective management of technology is crucial. This would mean using technology as a strategic variable to gain competitive advantage and would require an organization to critically understand processes of technology planning and strategy, management of technology transfer and absorption, and more. The part-time MBA programme with focus on ‘Technology Management‘ is aimed at fulfilling these requirements so as to enable the managers to effectively contribute in evolving core competencies in Indian industry. The part time program is designed to impart management education to working executives.
Doctoral Programs

The award of Ph.D. degree is, among other things, in recognition of high scholastic achievements, and original contribution to knowledge. Creative and productive enquiry is one of the basic concepts underlying research work. In order to overcome any deficiency in the breadth of fundamental training or proper foundation for advanced work, special foundation or pre-doctoral courses are given by the Department.

Admission to the Ph.D. programmes is made on the basis of interview conducted by the Department. Applications are invited from candidates by advertising the programmes in Employment News/leading newspapers in March for the first semester and in October, for the second semester every year. Candidates seeking admission must fulfill the required academic qualification/experience at the time of interview. Admission is subject to vacancy being available in the Department.
